Annual Grant Giving

In addition to providing financial services, the Episcopal Foundation of Dallas also offers direct financial support to Episcopal organizations in the form of annual grants.

The Foundation awards grants to churches, missions, and nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations which are located within the geographic boundaries of the Diocese of Dallas (See Map) and which support the mission statement of the Foundation. (See Mission)

In 2007 the Board of Trustees approved approximately $150,000 in grants to 22 area churches, schools and organizations supporting the mission and ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. The aggregate total of grant gifts given since the inception of the Foundation’s grant program in 1964 exceeds $1.2 million. Please see Grants Given and Beneficiaries for detail on recent grants awarded.

If you are interested in applying for a Foundation grant, please carefully review the guidelines and requirements outlined in Grant Policies and Procedures. Applications are accepted through April 15 of each year. Click Grant Application PDF or DOC for a printable application or contact the Episcopal Foundation to request a copy by mail. Please note that the application form is not designed to be completed or submitted online.

Completed grant applications should be mailed or delivered to the Foundation Offices at 5950 Cedar Springs Road, Suite 125, Dallas, Texas 75235 to the attention of the Executive Director. The Executive Director will acknowledge receipt of the application, perform a preliminary review, and conduct a site visit when appropriate

The Grants Committee will evaluate each proposal and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees, which votes for the approval or disapproval of each proposal at its June board meeting. Grants awarded will be announced at the end of June.
