As a faith-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Behind Every Door exists to bring the fullness of the love of Jesus to support personal transformation in underserved neighborhoods.
Started in 2009 by a group of five community leaders who penned a vision to transform local low-income neighborhoods in Dallas. Their idea was simple: build long-term relationships with individuals and families who live in low-income apartment communities and support the residents in every way possible.
Today, Behind Every Door serves 2800 children and families at Resource Centers in three Dallas apartment communities where they foster deep, family-like relationships with residents and provide access to resources that support personal transformation.
Working efficiently, the collaborate with several organizations to offer the four focus areas of their work: education, discovery, emotional health, and spiritual growth.
EFD also supports Incarnation Place, an organization that provides support and services to the Roseland Townhomes neighborhood where Behind Every Door operates of its Resource Centers.
The Episcopal Foundation of Dallas exists to strengthen and support faith communities by partnering wise investments with purposeful giving.
